I am unfortunately a member of the long and thick hair club as well. I find that corn rows are really good for summer because it's much easier to pull the braids back and off my neck than my usually unruly hair. The catch is that it takes forever to get all my hair braided.

My beauty is not the shape of the body,
but the voices in you mind;
the thoughts you can't live without

i only wear black clothes, tho my favorite most of the year is thin tops and skirts, maybe some jeans... in winter i only add a jacket and thick stockings o.o
but even that, in a hot sun can be too hot... i usually stay in the shadows. works most of the time. else, i got my old-fascined fan :blush: gives both a nice image and some coolness...

A) don't wear leather.
that's really all I got. I'm not as much goth as I just like black, so I wear black t-shirts and loose jeans most of the time. Same outfits in pretty much whatever weather.

I'm not exactly full goth either, but I can honestly say, wear what makes you feel comfortable. I wear black t-shirts, sleeveless muscle shirts, or black wife-beater shirts with a vest over top of that. Today I wore trip pants with a sleeveless muscle t. And Tripp pants may not be extremely goth related, but I do enjoy them, being that there's a LOT of room for your lower body and extremities to breath. That, and they're very roomy for meditation or martial arts training.

I don't anything that isn't black, you just have to go for short sleeves and stuff...
I also always coat myself in sunscreen during the summer, wouldn't want to get a tan
